Securitize adds Stellar as a supported blockchain

Securitize adds Stellar to its list of supported blockchains as of 28 October 2026, announcing the agreement with the Stellar network at Meridian 2026, the Stellar Development Foundation's annual conference in Portugal. The tokenisation platform already supports Ethereum, Solana and Avalanche.
What Securitize and the Stellar network agreed
Securitize is the platform that issues and manages the BlackRock BUIDL tokenised money market fund, one of the best known tokenised funds. Adding Stellar means a fourth public network is now on its supported list, next to the three it already used.
Stellar already carries a Franklin Templeton tokenised money market fund, and MoneyGram moves money across the network daily. Carlos Domingo, Securitize's chief executive, said: "The Stellar network has built the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets."
No first asset, launch date or volume has been named for Securitize on Stellar. The agreement is therefore a capability, not yet a flow of assets, and the first issuer to use it will show how much of the work is real.
A second major issuer on Stellar in two days
The announcement follows Janus Henderson and Centrifuge putting a Nasdaq-100 index fund on Stellar on 27 October 2026. Stellar holds about $3.8 billion of distributed tokenised assets on current tracking, the fourth largest ecosystem behind Ethereum, BNB Chain and Solana, with assets from Spiko, Franklin Templeton and Ondo.
A short dated timeline shows how the network has been filling up. In July 2026, Tradable announced plans to bring up to $1 billion of private credit to Stellar, with $500 million expected at launch. DTCC, the US securities depository group, plans to connect its tokenisation service to Stellar, with assets expected in the first half of 2027. Then came the Janus Henderson fund on 27 October and Securitize on 28 October.
Two of those four items are plans with no assets yet, and the Securitize agreement is a third. Only the index fund and the existing money market fund are live products, which is a useful discount to apply to any headline about network momentum.
A UK reading of Securitize on Stellar
Nothing in the announcement mentions the UK, UK investors or a UK regulator. The assets named on Stellar so far are money market funds, private credit plans, an index fund and payments, and none of them is startup equity.
For a founder or fund manager choosing a tokenisation platform, a multi-chain provider changes the order of decisions. The chain can follow the investor base, meaning the wallets, exchanges and custodians the target investors already use, instead of the platform dictating it. Securitize's tokenisation of the ARK Venture Fund on Ethereum shows the closest precedent to venture equity, and its record quarter shows the scale of the business behind the platform.
The counter argument is that adding a chain is an integration, not investor demand. A fourth network lengthens the list of places a token can live without proving that any investor will buy there. The signal to watch is the first named Securitize asset on Stellar, who is eligible to hold it, and whether it is open to UK professional investors. This is general information, not legal, tax or investment advice.
